DOVE seeks an experienced and passionate Residential Life Specialist for our Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter. DOVE’s Shelter provides short-term emergency shelter for adults and their children seeking safety and support from domestic violence. The Residential Life Specialist provides crisis prevention/intervention and emotional support, conducts intakes. Further, the person in this position responds to hotline callers, supports the coordination of residential life activities and events, and assists with basic needs for shelter program participants (adults and children). Additionally, the Residential Life Specialist provides first-line oversight of the overall maintenance of the shelter facilities.

Anticipated start date ~ Monday, July 6, 2020. This is a part-time position, (~32-36 hrs/wk; 80-90% FTE), paid hourly, generally Monday-Friday 6-8 hrs/day, 7:00am-3:00pm or 12pm-6pm. The incumbent may be required to work at other times to provide coverage and/or attend training/meetings; this may occasionally include evening/weekend hours.

DOVE is seeking a FT Bilingual Family Law Attorney.

The Staff Attorney is responsible for providing information, pro se assistance, and representation to victims of domestic violence seeking legal assistance in family law and restraining order matters. They are also responsible for assisting the LAP Director and the rest of the LAP in outreach and relationship-building within DOVE’s catchment area and within the legal community, facilitating legal trainings, and developing the LAP’s program’s policies, procedures, and goals, and tracking the success and outcomes of the program. Very strong preference for bilingual/bicultural applicants with language skills in addition to English, in Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish.

Anticipated start date ~May 1, 2020.  FT Salary range $54,000-$60,000 depending on experience, with additional compensation provided for proficiency in language, in addition to English, needed in DOVE’s service area.
